    Zombie Bear Cake Toppers

Today I have a guest post from the very talented Naera from Cake Dutchess.  She has taken adorable little teddy bears and turned them into zombies for Halloween.  These fondant toppers would look great on a cake in a group, or individually on halloween cupcakes.

    Materials

    Sugarpaste

    Needle/Scriber-tool

    Ball tool

    Instructions

    step1
Roll an oval-shaped ball of sugarpaste in your hand.
    step2
Roll out a round-shaped form of a lighter sugarpaste and press it on to the oval shaped ball.
    step3
Make a hole with the back of a needle/scriber-tool; this is where your zombie bear’s filling will be showing.
    step4
Press a tiny white ball of sugarpaste in the hole.
    step5
Use the needle/scriber-tool tear the sugarpaste apart a little.
    step6
Roll out another smaller round ball for the head and use a balltool to press in two holes for the eyes. Attach to body.
    step7
Roll out a smaller round ball of lighter sugarpaste for his snout.
    step8
Roll small black balls of sugarpaste for the eyes and nose (in the example I’ve damaged one eye).
    step9
Use the needle/scriber-tool for the “mouth.”
    step10
Roll out two small balls of darker and lighter sugarpaste, for the ears, and press these together.
    step11
Use a small balltool to attach the ears to the head.
    step12
Roll out the legs and press the end with your finger so it lifts up a little.
    step13
Attach the legs to the body.
    step14
Roll out the arms and use the needle/scriber-tool for details.
    step15
Roll out 4 tiny balls of sugarpaste for the paws, one bigger and three smaller ones.
